Portland Metro Friday Traffic: I-5 north flyover ramp to 217 closes for weekend night work

The ramp from northbound Interstate 5 to northbound OR 217 will close for maintenance 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights, June 9 and 10. The troubled ramp was closed for several weekends last summer for resurfacing and has seen a handful of crashes over the last month.

Drivers can take the Kruse Way exit (next northbound exit) and rejoin northbound OR 217 northbound from Kruse Way.

Scholls Ferry Road paving project scheduled for this weekend will have traffic delayed and signals out near the new Mountainside High School at Southwest Scholls Ferry Road and 175th Avenue. Expect long delays from 6 p.m. Friday through 7 a.m. Monday, June 9-12.

Heads up for Monday: OR 99E in Oregon City will be down to one lane in each direction for up to 12 days as crews work on a waterline replacement project just south of the Oregon City tunnel. The closure will be from Arch Bridge to South Second Street. Drivers should expect lengthy delays through the area.
